How to Loose Weight

Be More Active + Eat Less = Loose Weight

Oh, so that's how you do it!?!?!  Don't we already know that? We also know small steps we can take to be more active like using the stairs, parking further from work, going on walks or to the gym, etc... But don't you ever notice when you do these things that require more energy, you feel more hungry?!?! That doesn't help much for the whole weight loss equation...

Ok, so I'm more hungry because I had a pretty intense work out this morning... Well, I guess I could make smarter food choices like having an apple with almond butter instead of a bag of chips or granola bar. That was an easy switch and I feel pretty good about it! But, come lunch time I am still super hungry. Now what do I do?

Dun-dada-Duuuhh! Here's where ThinStick™ comes in!!

Finding ways to integrate ThinStick into your meals like having a ThinStick™ Shake for breakfast  or adding a ThinStick packet to your morning beverage can help you feel more satisfied throughout the morning. This, in turn, will help you to snack less... Come lunch time (you can't believe it's already lunch time because your stomach isn't even grumbling) you are less tempeted by quick and easy junk food and are able to make another smart food selection. Plus, you have just browsed our blog so you can think of several ways to integrate ThinStick™ into your lunch! Today, you didn't feel like a shake so you made a delicious Orange-Creme fruit dip using a ThinStick™ packet instead.

Flash forward and you can't believe it's already time to eat dinner, you're not even hungry! Regardless, you know you need to get your body some much needed nutrition so you fix up a very healthy dinner with lots of fresh vegetables and lean proteins. You are so proud of yourself for going through the day without caving into to many of the body sabotaging snacks that usually tempt you until you can't resist. You even went to bed without your ritual bedtime snack!

Tomorrow, you are thinking about adding a little more exercise into your routine!

Why Marina Loves ThinStick

"I am so grateful that you introduced me to ThinSticks. I noticed a HUGE difference as soon as I starting using them. I noticed from the very first one that my evening cravings were GONE. I often feel like I want something sweet after dinner and that night I didn’t! I noticed over the next few days that my appetite was reduced for several hours and I was able to go 3-4 hours without snacking. I am hooked and am excited to receive my next shipment."

Walk it out on a Wednesday

Walking is healthy way to exercise and is great for those who don't enjoy running or are not in the condition to run. There are many benefits to walking such as, it helps maintain weight, keeps blood pressure level down, reduces LDL (bad) cholesterol and lowers stress levels. A person of any age can walk and the chance of injury is quite lower than running since it's not as intense. You can always speed up to burn more calories.

Pedometer: Clip it to your pants and it will count the number of steps you take. It detects the motion of hips.

Ways to increase your daily steps:
Take a walk with your spouse, child, friend, or family member
Walk the dog
Use the stairs instead of the elevator
Park farther from the store, better yet, walk to the store
Get up to change the channel
Walk to your co-workers desk

MAP MY RUN!!!

http://www.mapmyrun.com/create_new

It may be called "Map my run" but hey there's nothing wrong with mapping a walk or jog as well. Before heading out, map where you are going and find out how many miles it is. Keeping track of how long your exercise is will not only make you feel you accomplished something and are sucessful but it may motivate you to continue as well. It brings some fun into your exercise.

You don't need to make an account. I never do.

Summer Activity!

Hiking is a good way to get your exercise in for the day and you can bring your kids or dog along too! Get out there and explore what's around you. Hiking trails range from easy to difficult. So for those of you that don't consider yourself an outdoor kind of person, you can choose a shorter hike. You can purchase a local trail guide book and read how many miles, the approximate time it takes to hike, and what scenery you will see. Below is also a website that list hikes through out the U.S.
