How they boosts mood: An aromatherapy study at Ohio State University found that when participants smelled lemon oil, their mood improved. The researchers, however, couldn't find any physiological reasons for why this happened. Regardless, the study participants felt significantly better after smelling lemon.

No wonder children are so happy! They smell and drink the lemonade at their lemonade stand all day!

Fact: One lemon has a 33% DV of vitamin C and a host of phytonutrients found to lower bad cholesterol and prevent plaque build-up in the arteries.

Household Tip: For a similar effect at home, you can buy lemon-scented oils, candels, citrus febreze, or many cleaning products are lemon scented.

Drink and Food Tip: Add lemons to water for a refreshing taste. Make your own lemonade. Squeeze lemons on your brown rice, salmon, pastas, or salads.

Do not add ThinStick to lemons or any citrus. It does not work properly with citrus.
