3 Tips for a Healthier Summer

1) Cool summer iced coffee drinks and frappuccinos taste delicious going down, but one of the sugary iced drinks can be as much as 550 calories and 78gms of sugar in one drink! By the way, that's the same as eating 19.5 teaspoons of sugar, and 25% of average daily calories.

Try brewing decaffeinated sun tea in your house or yard. Add the amino acid, glycine, as a sweetener. It has zero sugar grams, but tastes naturally sweet!

2) We all know the sound of the ice cream truck, and can hear it from blocks away. The calorie count skyrockets when we fill that waffle cone. One serving of Chubby Hubby has 330 calories, 24gms of sugar (6 teaspoons of sugar). Don't forget a serving of ice cream is 1/2 cup, or approximately one scoop, so that 3 scoop cone now has half of your day's calories and 18
teaspoons of sugar!

Freeze fresh fruit instead. It provides a cold, refreshing, sweet treat that has natural sugars and antioxidants as well, anytime you need to cool down in the heat.

3) Cut out the eggs, bacon, and pancake breakfast. Start your morning with a ThinStick Protein shake, mixed with your favorite low-fat milk and berries, provides healthy protein, vitamins, and minerals, along with a serving of ThinStick, which can prevent you from wanting food all morning long. Fewer snacks is fewer calories, and that's what's cool for the summer!
